Dylan Alcott – This guy is currently number 1 in the world in quad wheelchair singles. He is the current Australian Open singles and doubles champion.. He already has 6 Australian Open titles.. seems like this guy is going from strength to strength and will be Australia’s best bet for another trophy! way to go Dylan.

Alex de Minaur – is Australia’s number 1 ranked singles player and is currently ranked number 23 in the world. He has played very strong the last few months and had a great offseason. He is hoping to continually go deeper into the second week or the majors for now on. Will 2021 see him have a break out year and perhaps get to a major semi or final?

John Millman is Australia’s second ranked singles player. He is always consistent and leaves everything out on the court. Last year he had a very memorable match with Federer which he lost. He knows how to perform well under pressure on the big stage so there is every chance he will be in the second week of the Aussie Open yet again.

Nick Kyrgios – We all know the showmanship this remarkable athlete is capable of. Let’s see if he can put it together for a full two weeks and make the world respect him as a serious Grand Slam contender. He says he is feeling good and ready to be competitive again.. so the signs are good!

WOMAN –

Ashleigh Barty – World number 1… and very well rested. This calm competitor had her best Australian Open result ever in 2020. She will be hoping to go one better this year and take the winners trophy home.

Ajla Tomjanovic – Australia’s number 2 ranked Tennis player. She has had a lot of practice in Florida at the end of 2020. She then went to the middle east and played a tournament. As time is getting on she is harnessing her power and her consistency is giving her better results. Could everything click in Australian Open 2021 and she reaches the second week of a major for the first time?? we hope so!

Samantha Stosur – She has been around for years.. and is coming off a year of family time due to covid which she said was a real blessing to be on ground with for so long as it has not happened for such a long time. She often feels the pressure of the home crowd, but since she is getting older and has not got so much to lose anymore.. maybe she will come out nice and loose and suprise us all 🙂

Go Aussies!
